Remember, remember the fifth of November! As Bonfire Night approaches, here’s our line up of the area’s top three displays to ooohhh and aaahhh over.
Hull Vineyard Church, Vulcan Street, Clough Road
4th November, 6.00pm
Free event will include live music, a firework display and a huge bonfire. Food on the night will be provided by Dope Burger, Hull Pie, Cottage Catering and Go Dutch Pancake House. There will be no sparklers or alcohol allowed on site to create a true family friendly atmosphere.
5th November, 6.00 pm
Beverley Lionsannual bonfire and firework display attracts thousands of people who enjoy the spectacular firework display in safety. Bonfire lit at 6.15pm, display will start around 7.30pm. Free entry, bucket collection to help cover the cost of the fireworks. Park in the centre of Beverley, or take the train then walk to the Westwood as roads to there will be closed.
Cottingham Tigers RLFC, The Roy Waudby Arena, Willerby Business Park
5th November, Gates open 5.30pm, bonfire lit at 6.30pm, and fireworks 7.00pm
Bonfire extravaganza with hog roast, barbecue, bar and soft drinks. Use the entrance near Total Fitness. Lots of car parking. Ticket prices: £3 per adult.
Please note that fireworks are strictly forbidden on all University of Hull sites at all times. Anyone found to be either in possession or using fireworks (this includes sparklers and indoor fireworks) will be fined, amongst other disciplinary action. This will include the cost of extinguishing the firework(s) and the destruction of any unspent and unlit fireworks. In addition, anyone found to be in breach of the Fireworks Regulations Act (2003)/The Firework Regulations 2004 will be passed over to Humberside Police. ANY BREACH OF THESE REGULATIONS IS CONSIDERED A VERY SERIOUS MATTER AND WILL BE INVESTIGATED AND DEALT WITH ACCORDINGLY.
