The sun is shining, you’ve just got your degree results (if it’s your final year), England are still in the World Cup, Danny Dyer had a great (if a little sweary) rant about Brexit on the telly… Sounds like the kinda weekend to get out there and make the most of, right? So what’s going on in our wonderful city? Here are a few highlights…
If you fancy picking up some delicious tasty treats then you could definitely do worse than heading down to Hull Trinity Farmers Market on Saturday. There will be tons of locally grown and locally made products to browse and buy, and we’d imagine there might be some of Hull’s lovely street food vendors in attendance too. If you can’t make that (or you just need even more markety goodness) then you could pop down to the Humber Bridge Farmer’s Market on Sunday too.
If you want to get your party on then there are the usual suspect – Welly has the making-us-feel-old Black Parade – ’00s Emo Anthems on Friday night, and Shuffle Goes Raving on Saturday (which makes us feel even older). Piper has Loaded on Friday and Seduction on Saturday, but try and keep it down in the smoking area yeah? Plus there’s always Spiders on Saturday, which is worth it just for the incredible website. Go on click it, we dare you!
And if you’re in town for the markets anyway why not take a walk around the Marina and maybe get something to eat or drink down Humber Street? There are too many delicious places to mention, but we particularly enjoy getting out of the sun for a bit in Fruit and if you’re feeling flush then the steak at Butler Whites is magnificent.
