The Allam British Open is one of the most prestigious squash tournaments (affects Jeremy Clarkson style voice) in the world. This year, some of the best players in the world – including number one ranked Raneem El Welily and Ali Farag – will take on the rest of the world’s top twenty players as well as reigning champions Nour El Sherbini and Miguel Rodriguez in the battle to be crowned British Open Champion 2019.

The University has hosted rounds of the competition for the last six years, but this year we’re going one better – with the amazing new facilities at Hull Sport we’ll be hosting the entire competition, right from the opening rounds to the nail biting finals.

The tournament will be on from the 20th to the 26th of May, and tickets start from the bargainous price of just £11.85. We reckon that means that you can watch some world class athletes bashing the living daylights out of a tiny ball for less than the price of a round of drinks. Unsurprisingly they’re selling like hot cakes, so we’d recommend that you pick up some tickets now!
