This year, the University will invite feedback from students in all years of study throughout the same time period, as part of our Feedback Season.
The National Student Survey and Hull Student Survey will launch on 29 January, and the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey and Postgraduate Research Experience Survey will both launch on 1 February. All surveys will conclude on 30 April.
Student feedback is essential to enable us to identify what we are doing well, to facilitate the sharing of best practice, as well as to help us to recognise areas that need additional support and improvement, in order to continue to enhance the student experience.
- Final year undergraduate students will complete the National Student Survey (NSS)
- Non-final year undergraduate students will complete the Hull Student Survey (HSS)
- Postgraduate research students will complete the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES)
- Postgraduate taught students will complete the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES)
While all student feedback is vital, the National Student Survey is of paramount importance, as the results are made publically available to help prospective students make informed opinions about what and where to study.
The NSS data is also a component of the three main university league tables – The Times & Sunday Times, The Guardian and the Complete University Guide, as well as influencing our Teaching Excellence Framework result.
