The lovely people at the Brynmor Jones Library are running a competition to accompany the wonderful exhibition of Terence Cuneo’s work, Painting Power. If you haven’t been for a look yet then you really should do; there’s a range of Cuneo’s work there, not just the trains he’s most famous for.
The competition is pretty simple – all you have to do is design a travel poster promoting Hull. You can use any medium you like, but your poster must be A4 size or smaller. You can submit online or hand in at the library before the closing date on February 28, so you’ve got plenty of time. Bear in mind that entries must be all your own work, and multiple entries will result in disqualification, so make sure you’re entering your best try from the off.
Five lucky winners will have their posters turned into postcards to be sold in the library, as well as being entered into a draw to win a Cuneo print donated by the Science Museum, so get to work! We can’t wait to see all the entries.
