We know how much folk on campus love their coffee, and our Head Barista Andrew Wilson (you’ve probably seen him creating wonderful beverages in Wilde’s) loves coffee even more than most. That’s why he’s always experimenting with new techniques and ideas, and we’re about to roll one of those out in the Arts Café right this morning.
Cold brew coffee is a supremely refreshing sweet tasting drink (which just happens to have a particularly high caffeine content). Unlike iced coffee, which is brewed hot then cooled, our cold brew is brewed from single origin Honduras beans for 20 hours at room temperature, which makes for a flavour which is much less bitter and acidic. It’s served over ice which makes it perfect for those warm summer days we were having a week ago (and doubtless will have again soon).
Cold brew will be on sale in the Arts Café from 11am this morning for £2.60 with or without milk or £2.80 with caramel or vanilla syrup.
As it’s hand crafted daily by our Head Barista Andrew, once it’s gone it’s gone. But this does mean that it will always be super fresh and refreshing.
